How Do I Start and Stop an "Extra" Unscheduled Shift?

Summary: You can use the "New / Jobs" tab in ArchFX React to create an extra shift outside the normal scheduled shifts using the Start Shift and Stop Shift buttons. For example, even if the factory normally only operates on Monday 7:00 a.m. through Sunday 7:00 a.m. local time, you may add an extra shift on Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to accommodate end-of-quarter demand.

To start or stop an extra shift, while viewing your SMT line or mechanical machine, first open the "New / Jobs" tab in ArchFX React:

To start a shift

Click Start Shift to start a new shift. The "Create Job" dialog will automatically be opened so you can create the shift's first job.

To stop a shift

To stop a shift without starting a subsequent shift, click the Stop Shift button at any time. In-progress jobs will be paused.
