For the Global Summary Metrics report, we use the schedule defined for that factory within ArchFX Cloud. So data at the factory for a "day" is reported according to the local factory schedule definition of the day. For example, the "day" in Juarez might be "5:00:00 a.m. local time in Juarez to 4:59:59 a.m. the next day." We do this since we’re reporting only a small number of metrics that are specially calculated using the factory calendar and stored in advance in a relational database. This special calendar adjustment facilitates convenient OEE and LU reporting.
For other ArchFX Batch Reports (such as the Attrition Summary Report) that dive into more detailed data that comes directly from the data lake, we don’t do this adjustment. A "day" is the UTC 24 hour day. The value reported for a metric will be calculated for all factories, regardless of location or time zone, during the UTC 24 hour day. The purpose of these reports is to accurately represent trends over time so that manufacturers can prioritize issues for attention.
Therefore, placement counts between Global Metrics Summary and other ArchFX Batch Reports such as Attrition Summary will not directly agree and should not be directly compared. We include in the Attrition Summary Report the exact placement count for the sampling period (UTC day) that was used to report attrition since you cannot use the Global Metrics Report to get the right value for comparison.
